Is smoking cigarettes a turn off? (Girls advice plz)?

-I know not the most pleasant habit, but I just quit doing basically every drug in the book and its the only vice I got left. Up to a pack a day now. Im lookin for the good girls now though cleaned up my act, seeing as how Ive only ever dated badgirl/tomboy addicts/drunks. I dont want there first impression to be that Im a stoner/druggy just cause of this habit. Girls advice please, Im probably overthinking it.YES. (For starters, hi! I'm 18 and off to college!)



It's a turn off when making friends, meeting friends of friends, family members, and yes... boys.



There was a very interesting article recently on Yahoo called "What Makes a Face Beautiful?" It analyzes what makes the other sex attractive. Well, according to this highly educated article, one of the most important things is how healthy they look. Good health is necessary to produce healthy off-spring in animals, mammals, and humans too of course. Instinctively, we are attracted to the opposite sex whose health is good, so we can produce healthy babies.



With that said, do you think that a smoker (regardless of the amount of cigarettes or even packs-a-day he smokes... as you said, one pack a day) would come across as a healthy man to a fertile and non-smoking woman? Not really.



Personally, I have always been against smoking and harmful or narcotic drugs. But I know that in the end (sometimes unfortunately), it's a personal choice. You choose how you treat your body.



My boyfriend smokes cigarettes. He respects me and doesn't smoke when I'm with him. It's his choice to smoke cigarettes. I can't do a single thing to stop him, but to ask and hope for the best. It will take his own realization and, more importantly, his own willpower to quit smoking all together. It's the same for everyone who smokes cigarettes or is involved with harmful drugs. You too.



I'm so glad that you chose to quit doing drugs. I know you're a stranger, but I'm glad. Drugs set a bad example to younger kids and even your peers, they harm you, they can harm others around you (family, friends, etc.)... congratulations on stopping your drug use. (But also remember that second-hand-smoke from cigarettes, whether you think it's a big deal or not, harms others too. Have you heard of third-hand-smoke? Yes, it exists.)

My mom smokes and I hate it! I'm not saying it's impossible for a smoker to find someone, but I'd rather not date a smoker. If you really want to quit, you should try to get help. :)
I personally think it's gross. But in your case, it's understandable. As long as you don't smoke around me, it's fine. Some girls think it's cool. Others don't.
I think it's disgusting when women do it so it's completely understandable when think it is disgusting for guys to do it.
I wouldn't break up with someone because of it, but it's definitely a turn off.

Its disgusting your clothes and breath smell i think its a major turn off!
