Friend of a friend but does he like me?

-basically i met up with a few friends and a friend of one of my mates, i didnt really know him but we got on really well he kept saying that i was pretty/gorgeous and nice and things like that.. he was being really flirty and kept like putting his arms around me. apparently he mentioned me in a good way to one of my mates but she wont tell me what he said? shes a bit of an attention seeker and i think she would just take the piss if i said that i kind of liked him. he said that it was really nice to meet me and everything and ive spoken to him one since online, but i started the conversation. I dont know if he was just being friendly or if it means he likes me? i'm shy to say that ilike him cos i dont know him thatt well and im a bit scaared he'll think im a bit weird for saying that... also i told someone i liked them recently and he said he just wanted to be friends so im a bit nervous. please help??? xxxI think he kind of likes you but maybe is shy to talk to you.. xx
