Wife cheated, now husband feels trapped?

-this is an old couple in their late 60s. the husband found out that the wife cheated about 20 years ago. he feels confused and has no idea what to do.. he feels like the last 20 years have been a complete lie and his wife does not really love him, even though she says she does and that was a stupid mistake.



now, the husband talks about a divorce but then he said he feels trapped because he is old and he put everything he got into his house and he just purchased a boat and does not want to lose these items and does not want to tear the family apart, especially the grand kinds.



now this guy feels like he has no other choice but to continue this marriage which he thinks its a lie and live with this woman.



what would you do in this situation? would you be able to forgive your partner for cheating? would you stay with your cheating partner if you would be this old?



thanksConsidering the woman stayed with the husband twenty years after she cheated, I think she really does love him, otherwise she probably would have left. It's understandable that the husband is trouble by the infidelity, but this brings the saying "love conquers all" into perspective. If he truly loves her, then he will believe in her love to him and be able to put her mistake aside and forgive her. Of course that sort of thing would take time, but I think if I was in this situation, feeling trapped aside, I would want to stay with the woman I've loved all these years.so this guy has never been unfaithful?

not just the physical but emotional desires just never acted upon it?

stay and accept a separate bedroom if your so upset

use the Kitchen and laundry at separate scheduled times

you do not now have the resources to live apart
ditch her itsnot good for your health!!! mister. i just got cheated on and in30. and i know im good enough at 30 or 80 for some one better! money doesn't matter! you and i deserve better!!! you look at her every day and it still you and i can't face it so why live with it?
did the the guy have a hugh knob if not its ok..if it was just the kitty its ok but if it was the butt i would dump her
it would be hard but i probly would i mean it was 20 years ago mistakes happen
