Why is my friend flirting with me and showing interest when he already has a girlfriend?

-I know at the very least he likes me as a person and thinks I'm an attractive friend, but I'm getting the vibe he's starting to like me because he's showing a lot of signs. I guess I could be wrong, but I definitely feel a little "something" between us lately. He's not a player, and I'm definitely not the type of girl that looks like she's willing to do a side thing...so I'm wondering why he's initiated a "thing" between us. I mean...I would no doubt consider dating him if he were single, but that's not the case. I do want to talk to him about it at some point, but the right timing hasn't come around (and I'm probably much too shy to bring it up lol). Why do you think he's doing it (from a guy's perspective)?My friend does that too and he has a girlfriend. I think he likes you both but scared to make a relationship because it might hurt your friendship if you rejected him or broke up. If he brakes up with her he might ask you out (MIGHT). I would ask to meet his girlfriend and if he acts as always he doesn't like you thats just how he acts around friends. If he doesn't he's scared to act like it around his girlfriend (at least that's what I think). He might not ask you out because he thinks he's not good enough for you. Well hope that helps.
